This real photo postcard of the Security State Bank in Eskridge, Kansas dates from about 1910. The Eskridge Post Office was located on the south side of the building.
The first Security State Bank was originally in the building to the right of the two story brick structure. If one examines this picture closely, the word
“Bank” can be seen at the top of one story building next to the featured Security State Bank. The Waugh family (two brothers) who owned and operated the Security State Bank in both buildings originally owned a hardware store on Eskridge’s Main Street business district.
