We appreciate everyone who made the Wamego Community Foundation Match Day a success. 72 separate gifts were received and we raised over $23,000! The funds are used toward the rehabilitation of the facade of the Farmers Union Coop building, also known as the annex.
The post office front door was on the south side of the building, but the post office was housed in the west end of the first floor of this building.

The first Security State Bank was originally in the building to the right of the two story brick structure. If one examines this picture closely, the word
“Bank” can be seen at the top of one story building next to the featured Security State Bank. The Waugh family (two brothers) who owned and operated the Security State Bank in both buildings originally owned a hardware store on Eskridge’s Main Street business district.
